Awako is a rental marketplace platform that connects property and vehicle owners with potential renters.

- Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, address (street address, city, state, ZIP code, country), and a profile image. You also select a user type (renter, owner, or both).
- Verification Documents: To verify your identity, we collect images and/or URLs of your ID proof and address proof documents.
- Listing Information: If you create a property or vehicle listing, we collect details about the property or vehicle, including its type, location (address, latitude, longitude), characteristics, availability, pricing, and images/documents (registration, insurance for vehicles).
- Booking Information: When you make or accept a booking, we collect information about the booking, including the listing ID, renter ID, owner ID, check-in/check-out dates and times, total amount, and payment status.
- Communication Information: When you communicate with other users or with us through the App, we collect the content of those communications.
- Ratings and Reviews: If you provide ratings or reviews, we collect your rating score, written review, and any optional owner’s response.
- Stripe Connect Information (for Owners): If you are an owner, we collect your Stripe Connect ID to facilitate payments.
- Information Collected Automatically:
- Usage Information: We collect information about how you use the Services, including your interactions with the App, the listings you view, and the features you use.
- Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the Services, including the device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- Location Information: When you use location services on the platform the location is used to search and show the correct listing relevant for your current location. We collect location data through latitude and longitude of property.
- Information from Third Parties:
- Stripe: We use Stripe Connect to process payments. Stripe may provide us with information about your transactions, including payment status and, for owners, information related to your Stripe Connect account.
- Firebase: Firebase will manage user Authentication, and the details related to users will be stored.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- Providing and Improving the Services: To operate the App, process bookings, facilitate communication between users, manage listings, personalize your experience, and improve the functionality and quality of the Services.
- Verifying Your Identity: To verify your identity and prevent fraud.
- Processing Payments: To process payments between renters and owners through Stripe Connect.
- Communicating with You: To send you notifications about bookings, payments, messages, updates to the Services, and other important information. Also, we can contact you for promotional information.
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
- Research and Development: To analyze usage patterns, conduct research, and develop new features and services.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Enforcing our Terms: To enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements.
3. How We Share Your Information

- With Other Users: We share information necessary to facilitate bookings, such as your name, profile image, listing details, and communication messages, with other users involved in the booking process.
- With Stripe: We share information with Stripe to process payments. Stripe’s use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy.
- With Service Providers: We use Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging) as a service provider. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy.
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process. We may also disclose your information if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Awako, our users, or others.
- With Your Consent: We may share your information with third parties with your consent.

- Data Retention Your information will be retained for 30 days after a deletion request.

- JWT Authentication: We use JSON Web Tokens (JWT) to securely authenticate users.
- Firebase Security: We utilize Firebase’s built-in security features.
- Data Storage: Your data is stored on Firebase servers, and the location of these servers may vary depending on our Firebase configuration.

The Awako platform is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
